With a small baby in the house my Wife and I are getting less sleep than average. Well my Wife, Theresa, is getting less sleep than average. I am still getting about the same amount of sleep. I usually only require approximately 6 hours of sleep. As I sit here in front of the Powerbook at 3:45 AM, I am pondering why it is that I only need 5 - 6 hours while others like my wife are a wreck in they don't at least rack up 8 solid hours of sleep.

When I was a kid, my parents always told me that as I got older my body would require less sleep. Well for me that statement has held true. Approximately 2 years ago (when my World of Warcraft addiction started) I discovered that I only need the 5 - 6 hours of sleep a night. When I get more sleep than that it makes me feel groggy and more tired. I started to notice this on weekends when I would sleep 8 - 9 hours. I would spend the majority of the morning trying to get my "motor" going. Even caffeine did not always help me going.
