Hooray! We've been given our closing date. May 25th will be the fateful day. We visited the house today to meet with a contracted to select blinds for the windows and when we arrived we found a carpenter working on the kitchen. They've made quite a bit of progress on the house since the road went in two weeks ago. (See the picture of the light above our breakfast bar in this article.)

Our closing date will put us in the house just about 9 months after construction started and nearly 11 months after we signed our sales contract. We are so looking forward to getting out of this apartment and into the house. We probably won't know what to do with all of the space but I'm sure we'll quickly figure out how to fill it up.
Our final hurdles at this point are: 1)finished carpentry; 2)install appliances; 3)pour driveway; 4) sod yard; 5)select and pay for blinds; 6)install carpet.
Not much longer and our wait will be over.
